About Rachael Tembo

Rachael Tembo is a research, monitoring and evaluation specialist in Southern Africa with experience in evaluation of projects; SRHR programming, programmatic monitoring and verification; capacity building of country offices staff and implementing partners and donor reporting.

She holds a Master’s degree in Monitoring and Program Evaluation (Mcom: Mon. & Prog Eval), Masters of Technology in Business Information Systems (Mtech: BIS, Cum Laude), Bachelor of Science Honours (Bsc Honours: Agric Eco, Cum Laude) and Post Graduate Diploma in HIV/AIDS Management (PGDip HIV/AIDS Mgt). She also has a certificate for the World Bank International Program for Development and Evaluation Training (IPDET).

She has worked with communities in her present and past roles. She has 3 years of work experience in tertiary education and more than 5 years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation in the Non-Governmental development sector. she has worked with community based organisations and regional development organisations.

Smisha Agarwal, an associate at the Population Council leads the Frontline Health project, a 3 year Bill and Melinda Gates funded project, focused on standardising the measurement of community health worker programs around the world, identifying critical gaps in knowledge in strengthening these programs, and conducting operational research studies to answer those questions.
